Call for Questions: Season Finale Q&A

Hi Everyone,

We’re closing the season with a Q&A with Minister Sophie Hermans—and your question can be on the agenda. If you’ve got something you want to inquire about on Dutch energy policy, hydrogen, or the wider energy transition, send it in by the deadline below. Minister Sophie Hermans is a liberal politician of VVD serving as First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Climate Policy and Green Growth in the Prime Minister Schoof cabinet.

How to submit
Email your question to zia.hoseni@wur.nl before Saturday, 30 August 2025, 23:59 CEST (Amsterdam time).

What works best

  • Keep it focused: one clear question (two max).

  • Add one line of context (why you’re asking / where your question is coming from).

  • If relevant, mention any affiliation (student, researcher, industry, policymaker, citizen).

Suggested topics

  • Energy security vs. affordability: trade-offs and tools that actually work.

  • Hydrogen policy & projects: governance, financeability, infrastructure, safety.

  • Permitting and planning: how to speed up without losing public trust.

  • EU–NL policy links: what Brussels sets, what The Hague implements.

What happens next
I’ll group questions by theme and ask as many as possible in the finale.
